Gira Disc Golf was created to expand the sport in the Latin@ Community.
At least 5% profit from every sale is used to sponsor educational events, tournaments, players, courses and teams for new players in Mexico, Colombia, and soon the rest of the world. We want to remove as many barriers as possible and grow the disc golf culture.

I got into Disc Golf: my buddies and I had no money for ball golf that weekend 1 of them had disc in his truck and said let's go disc golfing. My first throw was with a red Innova dx cobra. That was March of 1999, after that round it was a wrap, hooked like a large mouth bass! lol!
Favorite meal: mole con Pollo.
Favorite ice cream: pistachio nut so good.
Since then all my kids play, I even got my grandkids pdga numbers. It's been my happy place for many years. That's where I go to just forget about work life whatever.

My fiancée Nestor and I were introduced to DG by a friend in 2016. We have since not stopped playing. We enjoy running clinics and growing the sport.
When I'm not playing I work FT in Human Services for the County of Sonoma.

My name is Nestor Arciniega. I am from Chamacuaro, Guanajuato. I come from a humble Mexican family full of competitive males. I've played sports all of my life. Football took my first few years. I started playing disc golf in 2016 and haven't stopped since. I have learned that I enjoy teaching the sport and its been great to see the sport grow. When I'm not playing or teaching I can be found lifting weights or working.
